Family Trip to Ottawa
Last month, my family went to visit Ottawa, with a stop over at Prince Edward County Lavender field. The lovely boutique, heavenly scent, and beautiful lavender, with a cup of coffee and a sandwich under the tree, it couldn’t be any more relaxing! If you ever go to eastern Canada in July, it’s a nice break over there.
After the picnic style lunch at PEC lavender field, we continued our drive to Ottawa. It took about 3 hours to get to downtown Ottawa from Prince Edward County, checked into our hotel, Les Suite Ottawa, got a free upgrade to 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom suite, it means I’ll have my own bathroom!
We first toured National Gallery of Canada. I had hard time understanding some of the contemporary arts; however, the oil paintings collection is amazing. I love this spider sculpture in front of National Gallery of Canada, missed the photo in Tokyo last time.
Parliament Hill tour and night shots. We were very lucky because Parliament Hill will be closed for renovation this October for 10 years!
And finally, LOVE this MosaïCanada 150 park. It’s my first time to see such magnificent 3D garden.
It needs a lot of manual work. The 3D garden is made of tiny cedar plugs with different color and material. Volunteers have been busy replacing some of the plugs throughout the park during the day. I guess I need a lot more patience for my garden!
