Mexico All-Inclusive Vacation
I went to my first solo all inclusive vacation this September! After one and half years of busy and stressful work schedule, somewhat difficult moments in personal life last month, I booked this much needed break for myself. I wasn’t into all-inclusive vacation before, but this time, I thought relaxing and sunbathing on the beach without worrying about planning my meals and cooking might be a great way to have that break. I chose Occidental at Xcarat Destination in Riviera Maya, Mexico, FIVE star, and it got tons of great reviews!
I totally love it! The resort has 2 buffets, and 5 restaurants. It’s so big that I had to carry map whenever I go out. The resort is essentially built in the middle of a jungle, it blends so well with the nature, and all kinds of animals living in the resort.
The waterway passes through hotel lobby, with sea water, turtles, and fishes.
You want to see how it feels like to have monkeys visit your balcony and you can feed them (well, you are not supposed to):
I really love this path just outside of hotel lobby, leading to the beach. You can’t see the beach from the lobby. It looks like it’s leading to the sky, and adds this mystery feeling to it. It was very hard to photograph: too bright during the day, too dark at night.
This was my life everyday there:
Eat: with 2 buffets and 5 restaurants, food was never an issue. I went to gym every other day to work extra calories off.
Snorkeling: LOVE LOVE snorkeling in Mexico. Underwater here was just too beautiful. This time I bought my own mask and water shoe. I dip into the ocean whenever I feel like.
Sunbath: I wasn’t a sunbath person before; but the trip changed me. I love my sun tan now, especially on my legs…LOL….
Playing with the fish by the beach, it was just so lovely.
I wanted to try scuba diving, but decided to get a underwater camera next time! The resort is located beside the famous Xcaret theme park. I will come back for them next time!
