Pandemic Life 1 – Sewing Finished Projects

We have been working from home since March of this year. I had a chance to learn and explore quite a few new things, sewing was one of them. Here are list of my finished sewing projects.
Sewingtime Youtube channel
I found her channel in July, and just couldn’t stop making items from her video. They are very easy to understand without her even say a word. I love the way she does zippers, the finished projects looks very elegant.

Linen Top from Fabric-store.com
Linen has always been my favourite fabric. When I came across this website and its FREE patterns, I was like a mouse in the honey pot. It’s a good thing that their shipping to Canada was too expensive. But next time I go to US, I’ll definitely buy some. Here’s a sleeveless top I made from their pattern. Fabric is a cotton linen blend from Fabricland in Canada.
Boxed Cushion
Refinished outdoor boxed cushion for sister-in-law! First time sewing boxed cushion with velcro closings. This video from Melanie Ham helped a lot.
Shorts from New Look 6055
I got this super soft and airy rayon fabric from Fabricland, with cheerful summer patterns. This summer in Toronto was hot, so I chose pattern D from New Look 6055. Next time I’ll make it shorter, maybe pattern E.

Last but not least, a pincushion from some random tiny scrap fabric.

I’ve never sew this much before. There are still a few linen pants I left out since I don’t have a picture of the finished projects. I hope sewing continues this winter! or maybe knitting?
